OKURUKURU has a number of features which makes it stand out from other function venues. The entrance hall is very spacious with superb views of the sea and the mountain. Seaward viewing from the restaurant or mezzanine offers a selection of framed views from Oakura to the Sugar Loaf Islands; or move out onto the spacious deck and enjoy out standing panoramic views from Cape Egmont to New Plymouth, you may even be fortunate enough to see a whale basking off the coast.
We have the perfect solutions to all of your function needs, wedding, conferences, work functions, product launches - anything you can think of.
Facilities
Our main conference room, the Tasman Room situated downstairs opposite our Barrel Room and can seat up to 80 people theatre and banquet style, with the ability to open doors out into the Barrel Room to seat more if necessary. It has its own private lawn overlooking the Tasman Sea. State of the art audio-visual equipment is available for hire through local businesses.
The Tasman Room
The Tasman Room offers natural light, with an out-door courtyard overlooking the Tasman Sea. State of the art audio-visual equipment is available for hire.
The Barrel Room
The Barrel Room offers a natural rustic setting, with the ability to connect to the Tasman Room, to further adapt to your conference/function requirements.
We also cater for weddings, functions and meetings upstairs in the main restaurant.
We are happy to open outside our normal operating hours for larger functions/groups. Contact the cafe for further details.
